Washington, D.C. – (February 18, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its set of weekly awards for indoor track & field on Tuesday afternoon with Fordham freshman
Njam Abdul-Latif (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) earning his fifth Men's Rookie of the Week award this season.
With his fifth weekly award, Abdul-Latif surpassed Matt DiBuono for most weekly awards by a Ram in a single season. DiBuono earned four Rookie of the Week accolades in the 2005-06 indoor season.
Abdul-Latif won the 200-meter dash invitational on Friday at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational with a school record time of 21.00 seconds. It broke his previous mark of 21.41 seconds, set at the Metropolitan Championship two weeks ago
Abdul-Latif currently ranks first in the Atlantic 10 in the 200 meters.
The Rams will have one final tune-up for the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship, as some members of the team will be at the West Point Tune Up on Saturday, February 22
