Lewisburg, Pa. – (November 21, 2025) – The Fordham swimming & diving teams opened competition at the annual Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Through a successful day one, the Fordham women are in third place out of seven teams with 283.5 points, trailing only Brown (572.5) and Delaware (416), while being ahead of host Bucknell (249), UMBC (197), Davidson (183), and Seton Hall (115).
On the men's side, the Rams are in fifth place out of seven teams with 204 points, behind Brown (600.5), Delaware (318), UMBC (282), and Seton Hall (279.5), while being ahead of Davidson (189) and host Bucknell (142)
WOMEN'S INVITATIONAL
- Six events at the Bucknell Invitational are in the books, including the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay, and three-meter dive.
- The 200 freestyle relay team of Saskia Aikman, Lexi Lundell, Ella Montgomery, and Magdalena Wlodarkiewicz got the night of finals started with a third place finish in a season-best time of 1:32.43.
- Next in the 500 freestyle, Hayley Clark placed eighth overall in a season-best time of 4:57.12, while Daisy Mitchell (4:58.51) and Campbell Stever (4:59.37) scored tenth and 12th overall.
- Karina Kanary was the Rams' lone finalist in the 200 individual medley, grabbing second overall in a season-best time of 2:00.80.
- Then in the 50 freestyle, Fordham's duo of Aikman and Lundell made the finals with Aikman taking third in the event in a season-best time of 22.99 seconds, while Lundell tied for 13th at 23.48 seconds.
- In the diving well, four Rams scored in the event, led by Katie Laverty in third place with a score of 270.25 with Dani O'Kelly in fifth at 262.65.Mya Bokerman ended up 14th with a score of 213.40 with Maia Cacchione right behind her in 15th at 211.35.
- The final event on Friday was the 400 medley relay, where Kanary, Lundell, Montgomery, and Aikman were fourth overall in a top time of 3:43.05
MEN'S INVITATIONAL
- The six events at the Bucknell Invitational for the men included the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay, and one-meter dive.
- The Rams kicked off day one by scoring second in the 200 freestyle relay, as Max Maycher, David Topi, Daniel Ribeiro, and Misha Semenov clocked in with a season-best mark of 1:19.39.
- In the 500 freestyle, Quinn MacPhail posted a fifth-place finish in a season-best time of 4:24.93, while Kevin Yum scored 23rd overall at 4:35.49.
- The Rams did not have a finalist in the 200 individual medley, but Frankie Sanger did post the Rams' top time of the season at 1:52.70, which was 26th overall.
- Fordham then had four finalists in the 50 freestyle event, led by Ribeiro (20.43) and Topi (20.51), who were seventh and eighth, respectively.Maycher scored 16th in 20.51, while Semenov won the "C" final for 17th place at 20.43.
- Next was the one-meter dive final, where David Vargas took home third place with a score of 296.70 points.
- The night ended with Ribeiro, Topi, Maycher, and Semenov taking sixth in the 400 medley relay with a team-best time of 3:16.81.
