Washington, D.C. – (November 11, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its weekly swimming & diving awards on Tuesday with Fordham's
David Vargas (Mexico City, Mexico) being named the Men's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week, while
Hayley Clark (Chapel Hill, N.C.) was the Women's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week. Additionally,
Quinn MacPhail (Shaker Heights, Ohio) and
Ella Montgomery (Lamoine, Maine) earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Vargas won both diving events during the Rams' meet at Boston College on Friday. He posted winning scores of scores of 339.05 (1M) and 378.95 (3M) to pick up his second Atlantic 10 weekly award of the year.
Clark took first in a trio of events at Boston College, all in season-best times. She won the 200 freestyle (1:52.66), the 200 butterfly (2:05.53), and the 500 freestyle (5:02.00). Her time in the 200 freestyle was third-best in the Atlantic 10 this season, while her 500 freestyle time is fifth.
MacPhail earned his second Rookie of the Week accolade after winning both distance freestyle events at Boston College with season-best times of 9:22.95 (1000) and 4:35.48 (500). His time in the 1,000 freestyle ranks second in the Atlantic 10 this year.
Montgomery picked up her first career award after winning the 100 butterfly in 56.63 seconds, while also posting a season-best time in the 100 backstroke (57.32). She is currently in the top ten in the league in both events.
This quartet and the rest of the Rams are back in the pool, November 21-23, at the Bucknell Invitational.
