Washington, D.C. – (January 28, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its set of weekly awards for indoor track & field on Tuesday afternoon with Fordham freshman
Njam Abdul-Latif (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) earning his third Men's Rookie of the Week award this season.
Abdul-Latif posted a pair of school records this weekend in Boston at the Riverhawk Invitational. He started with a second place finish in the 60-meter dash in a school record time of 6.86 seconds.
Then in the 200-meter dash invitational event, he matched the school record, tying the mark of David Fajoyomi set in 2014 at 21.47 seconds. That time was also good enough to tie for first place overall.
Among Atlantic 10 runners, Abdul-Latif ranks first in the 200 meters and third in the 60 meters.
The Rams return to action on January 31
st at the Metropolitan Championship, held at the Ocean Breeze Complex on Staten Island.
