BRONX, N.Y. -Â The Fordham University Rams continue the 2024 season, Fordham's 124th varsity season, by traveling to New Britain, Conn., to face the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils in Arute Field on Saturday, September 7, at 6:00 p.m.

The game will be streamed on NEC Front Row with Bruce Biel (p-b-p) and Marc Robbins (color) announcing and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuvsports.org with Lou Orlando (p-b-p) and Evan Harkin (color) handling the announcing chores.

Fordham enters the game with an 0-1 record after a season-opening loss at Bowling Green on August 29, while Central Connecticut enters the contest with an 0-1 record and is coming off a season-opening loss at Central Michigan last week.

Saturday's game will be the fourth meeting between Fordham and Central Connecticut on the gridiron, the first since 2019. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series, 2-1, and took the most recent matchup, 26-23, on August 31, 2019, at Moglia Stadium as Francis Cole connected on a 31-yard field goal as time expired to lift the visitors 1:53 after the Rams tied the game on a 13-yard Tim Democrat pass to Dequece Carter.

Jaylen Dawson was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week following the Bowling Green game.

• In his collegiate debut Dawson led the Rams with ten total tackles, five solo.

• Both teams fell at MAC schools last week (Fordham at Bowling Green and CCSU at Central Michigan).

Chase Edmonds, who was drafted in the fourth round by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2018 draft, is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but will miss the 2024 season due to injury while offensive lineman
Nick Zakelj, who was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft by the San Francisco and enters his third year with the 49ers.
