BRONX – Fordham freshman linebacker Jaylen Dawson (Goodyear, Ariz./Desert Edge) was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week in the first week of action in 2024.
 
In a season opening loss at FBS Bowling Green, Dawson, who started his first collegiate contest, led the Rams with ten total tackles, five solo.
 
Fordham returned to action on Saturday, September 7, as the Rams travel to New Britain, Conn., to take on the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM), the WFUV Sports Youtube page, and on NEC Front Row.
