BRONX, N.Y. -Â The Fordham University Rams continue the 2024 season, Fordham's 124th varsity season, by hosting the Stony Brook University Seawolves for Homecoming at Moglia Stadium on Saturday, September 14, at 1:00 p.m.

A large crowd is expected for Homecoming so get your tickets now at the Fordham Athletic Tickets website. Fordham students can also use the site to get their free ticket. Instructions can be found here.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Andrew Bogusch (p-b-p) and Grant DelVecchio (analyst) announcing and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuvsports.org with Lou Orlando (p-b-p) and Evan Harkin (analyst) handling the announcing chores.

Fordham enters the game with an 0-2 record after a loss at Central Connecticut State University last week, while Stony Brook enters the contest with a 1-1 record and is coming off a 37-10 win over Stonehill at home last Saturday.

Saturday's game will be the eighth meeting between Fordham and Stony Brook on the gridiron. The Rams lead the all-time series, 4-3, and have taken the past three meetings. Fordham won last year's meeting, 26-7, on October 14 at Stony Brook as
Julius Loughridge carried 24 times for 154 yards and two scores while also catching two passes for 19 yards and
CJ Montes completed 20 of 33 passes for 171 yards. Defensively the Rams forced three fourth quarter Stony Brook turnovers, two on strip sacks from
Matt Jaworski, both which were converted into touchdowns, and the third on an interception by senior defensive back
Nahil Perkins.

A few notes on the game:

• The Fordham Rams have thrown the second most touchdown passes of any NCAA FCS school over the past three years.

• The Rams threw a school-record 58 scoring strikes in 2022 (56 of those from Tim DeMorat who set a school and Patriot League record), had 26 from quarterback
CJ Montes last year, and have two this year for a total of 86.

• Two former Fordham football Rams are currently on NFL rosters. Running back
Chase Edmonds, who was drafted in the fourth round by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2018 draft, is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but will miss the 2024 season due to injury while offensive lineman
Nick Zakelj, who was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft by the San Francisco and enters his third year with the 49ers.

• No New York area college football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 79 victories over that stretch. The closest collegiate competitors are Army West Point (77), Sacred Heart (70), Stony Brook (59), and Rutgers (56), while the NFL's Giants lead all NYC area professional teams with 76 wins over the past 12 years and the Jets have 69.
