Bronx, N.Y. – As the 2024 Fordham football camp hits the middle of the second week of action we continue our position-by-position breakdown of the Rams with a look at the offensive line.
The Rams return plenty of experience on the offensive line, bringing back three of the five starters from last fall along with a number of others who saw action and helped the Rams lead the Patriot League and rank 12th in the NCAA FCS in passing yards/game (275.6) and rank second in the Patriot League and 13th in the nation in total offense (428.0 yards/game). The 2023 Fordham offense was also second in the Patriot League and 27th in the NCAA FCS in scoring (30.5 points/game) and the Rams led the Patriot League and ranked 15th in the nation in first downs (261).
The returning starters are led by preseason All-Patriot League selection and grad student
Ryan Joyce, a 2024 team captain who started five games at right guard in an injury-interrupted 2023 campaign.
Joyce is joined by returning starters senior
David Evbomenya, a two-year starter who started all eleven games at left tackle in 2023, and grad student
Cody Johnson, another two-year starter who started all eleven games last fall at center.
Other returning players with experience include senior
Hank Perry, who played in five games last fall, juniors
Duke Leonard, who appeared in six games as a sophomore, starting four at right guard,
Kevin Loughlin, who saw action in nine games as a sophomore, starting one, and
Kurt Plakans, who appeared in one game in 2023.

Dylan Haines, and
Colin Van Rooy, who saw action in one game as a freshman, and

Adam Yevchak, a First Team All Shore selection at Donovan Catholic in New Jersey last year, Tyler Hughes, and Shaymus Willette, who played at Burr and Burton Academy in Vermont last fall.
