BRONX – Progress is being made on the renovation of Fordham University's Murphy Field Complex, including the Bahoshy Softball Field. The new FieldTurf is just about complete for Murphy Field while the softball facility is still being prepped for its new turf.
 
The football/soccer field has been extended on the Southern Boulevard side in order to make it a regulation size soccer pitch.
 
Murphy Field, named for Cornelius Murphy who died as a result of injuries suffered during the 1931 Fordham-Bucknell football game, is utilized by the Fordham football, men's soccer and women's soccer squads, as well as by the school's intramural and club sports programs and Fordham Prep.
