Luden moves up after two years as assistant equipment manager

BRONX – Rob Luden, who has served as the Assistant Equipment Manager at Fordham since June of 2022, was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Equipment Operations and Purchasing at the school it was announced today by Director of Athletics Ed Kull.
 
In his new position Luden will be responsible for inventory maintenance and distribution of apparel as well as athletic and field equipment for 22 varsity sports. He also handles all branding issues, including artwork creation and approval to ensure consistent representation of the University in athletic apparel. Luden coordinates student worker management for undergraduate student workers and handles football game day operations, including pre- and post-game operation and practice set up/operations.
 
Last May, Luden was the recipient of the Jack Coffey award, presented to a Fordham administrator, alumnus or coach for outstanding contributions and dedication to the athletic program.
 
Since 2022 Luden has been responsible for assisting the assistant director of athletics for equipment operations and purchasing with all aspects of the equipment room including purchasing, fitting, storage, cleaning and inventory management of all uniforms and equipment.
 
Luden arrived at Rose Hill after serving as the coordinator for athletic operations, facilities and equipment at Long Island University from March 2021 until May 2022. He oversaw the day-to-day operation, management and scheduling of the Pratt Recreation Center and athletic facilities and also assisted the head equipment manager with the daily distribution, inventory, and collection of all athletic equipment.
 
Prior to his stint at LIU, Luden was a facilities and recreation assistant at Iona College from 2020-2021 where he helped the assistant athletic director of operations and facilities with daily operations, scheduling, and supervision of all athletic facilities.
 
A 2017 graduate of Curry College where he received a degree in business management, Luden also earned a master's degree in sports management from Endicott College in 2021.
