Bronx, N.Y. – (May 9, 2024) – The Fordham women's soccer team has released its schedule for the 2024 fall season which features 18 regular season contests along with three exhibition contests.
Under third-year head coach
Magnus Nilerud, the regular season schedule is broken down into eight non-conference matches and ten conference matches.
Matches begin on Thursday, August 15
th, as the Rams start the year with three straight home matches. The first of which will be the Battle of the Bronx against Manhattan. One week later, Fordham takes on Drexel (Aug. 22) and UAlbany (Aug. 25) to conclude the opening home stretch.
The remainder of non-league action is all on the road, featuring matches against Wagner (Aug. 29), Fairfield (Sept. 1), Stonehill (Sept. 5), Yale (Sept. 8), and Columbia (Sept. 12).
Action in the Atlantic 10 Conference will begin on September 19
th, when the Rams travel to George Mason for the first of five away conference matches. Fordham will also play at Massachusetts (Sept. 26), Richmond (Sept. 29), Davidson (Oct. 6), and St. Bonaventure (Oct. 20).
Fordham's home league contests start on September 22
nd against Loyola Chicago. The Rams will also host Duquesne (Oct. 3), Rhode Island (Oct. 13), George Washington (Oct. 17), and Dayton (Oct. 24).
On top of the regular season schedule, Fordham will have three preseason exhibitions against Hofstra (home) on August 4
th, Milton Magic (home) on August 6
th, and Sacred Heart (away) on August 10
th.
The 2024 schedule will lead to the Atlantic 10 Championship with opening round contests, starting on November 1
st with the championship final on November 10
th.
