Indianapolis, Ind. – (March 6, 2024) – The selections for the 2024 NCAA Division I women's swimming and diving championships were announced on Wednesday. For the first time since 2012, Fordham will be represented at the championships as junior
Ainhoa Martin earned an official invitation to the meet.
The 2024 championships are set to take place March 20-23 at the Jack Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Georgia. Ticket information will be available

Martín became Fordham's first NCAA swimming qualifier since Brienne Ryan in 2012, following a record breaking showing at the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship. Her school and Atlantic 10 record time of 2:09.55 put her in the top 36 in the 200-yard breaststroke event, which will take place on March 23
rd. She will also have the opportunity to compete in the 200-yard individual medley event on March 21
st, after recording a school record and NCAA "B" cut time of 1:58.25.
Martín became the first Fordham swimmer to win three individual gold medals at the Atlantic 10 Championship two weeks ago. In addition to her event wins in the 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley, she also won the 400 individual medley event and received the Atlantic 10 Championship's Most Outstanding Performer Award, becoming the second Fordham woman to win that accolade.
