BRONX, N.Y. -Â The Fordham University Rams continue the 2024 season, Fordham's 124th varsity season, by hosting the Lafayette College Leopards in Moglia Stadium on Saturday, October 5, at 1:00 p.m. in the Patriot League opener for both teams.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Andrew Bogusch (p-b-p) and Grant DelVecchio (analyst) announcing and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuvsports.org with Lou Orlando (p-b-p) and Chris Carrino (analyst) handling the announcing chores.

Fordham enters the game with an 0-5 overall record after a loss at Monmouth University last week, while Lafayette enters the contest with a 2-2 overall record after a 31-20 loss at Columbia on September 21.

Saturday's game will be the 42nd meeting between Fordham and Lafayette on the gridiron. The Leopards lead the all-time series, which started in 1903, 26-14-1, but Fordham has taken two of the past three meetings, including a 45-10 win at Lafayette in 2022 as Tim DeMorat completed 32 of 45 passes for 482 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for a pair of scores.

A few notes on the game:

• Lafayette took last year's game, 24-16, in Fisher Stadium as Jamar Curtis rushed for 204 yards and one touchdown and Dean DeNobile completed 16 of 21 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown and he ran for another score.

• The Fordham Rams have thrown the second most touchdown passes of any NCAA FCS school over the past three years.

• The Rams threw a school-record 58 scoring strikes in 2022 (56 of those from Tim DeMorat who set a school and Patriot League record), had 26 from quarterback
CJ Montes last year, and have four this year for a total of 88.

• The 2024 Fordham football squad will play four of its first five, and five of the first seven, games on the road.

• The last time the Rams played four of the first five games on the road was 2011.

James Conway has 386 total tackles, third on the Fordham career list.

Julius Loughridge, who has rushed for more than 100 yards in two of his three games of 2024, has 2,477 career rushing yards, seventh on the Fordham all-time rushing list.

• Loughridge also has 20 career rushing touchdowns, ninth all-time for the Rams.

Chase Edmonds, who was drafted in the fourth round by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2018 draft, is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but will miss the 2024 season due to injury while offensive lineman
Nick Zakelj, who was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft by the San Francisco and enters his third year with the 49ers.
