BRONX, N.Y. (Sept. 19, 2023) – Senior midfielder Florian Deletioglu earned an honorable mention nod to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday by the organization. 
 
This marks the second straight week that a Fordham player has been recognized, as Timo Hummrich also garnered an honorable mention pick last week after scoring one goal and assisting on another in the Rams' 3-3 draw with Georgetown on Sept. 4.  Hummrich also earned praise from TopDrawerSoccer in August, checking in at no. 95 on the Preseason Top 100 list.
 
Deletioglu drew national attention following a standout performance against St. Bonaventure in the Rams' Atlantic 10 opener, a 3-0 win, on Saturday in the Bronx.  After netting the game-winner off a feed from Daniel D'Ippolito in the 25^th minute, Deletioglu struck again in the 58^th, burying a bicycle kick into the back of the net to make it 3-0. 
 
It marked the second time in Deletioglu's career that the Munich, Germany, native has scored twice in the same game, as he also logged a brace against Seton Hall as a sophomore in the fall of 2021.
 
Deletioglu and the Rams will return to action this evening at Manahttan for the annual Battle of the Bronx in Riverdale.  Kick-off is set for 6 p.m. at Gaelic Park.
