Kingston, R.I. – There are three things you can count on in life. Buttered toast will land buttered side down on the floor, taxes, and a Fordham-Rhode Island men's soccer match ending in a draw. For the fourth time over the past six meetings the two Atlantic 10 Rams played to a draw at one goal each in the conference opener for both squads.
With the tie, Fordham goes to 3-2-2 on the year while Rhode Island goes to 1-3-2.

• Fordham broke the 0-0 tie when
Luke Pompliano scored his first goal of the season in the 20th minute, assisted by
Daniel D'Ippolito.
• The home Rams responded to tie the game on a goal from Theo Harris in the 74th minute, assisted by Sebastian Berntsen.
