Bronx, N.Y. - Eight individuals will be enshrined into the Fordham University Athletic Hall of Fame on Thursday, October 5. Those making up the 2023 Hall of Fame class are Samantha Clark FCRH '16 (Women's Basketball), Chase Edmonds FCRH '18 (Football), Titi Fagade Gabelli '15 (Women's Track and Field), Elise Fortier FCRH '14 (Softball), Jason Harris FCRH '01 (Men's Basketball), Nick Macarchuk (Former Men's Basketball Head Coach), Ifeatu Otue FCRH '73 (Men's Soccer), and Natali Sunara FCRH '96 (Women's Tennis).

The eight will join the likes of Frankie Frisch, Vince Lombardi, Wellington Mara and Vin Scully in the Fordham Athletics Hall of Fame when the new class is inducted on October 5 under the Homecoming tent on Edwards Parade as part of Homecoming weekend festivities.
In only three seasons, Elise Fortier established herself as one of the best student-athletes in Fordham softball history. Arriving to Rose Hill as a sophomore after a year at Stony Brook, Fortier poured in contributions from the start, earning a First Team All-Atlantic 10 selection in 2012. During the 2013 season, Fortier was named a Second Team All-Atlantic 10 player and also helped the Rams capture the 2013 Atlantic 10 championship. In her final season in a Rams uniform, Fortier put together one of the best individual seasons in program history, being named the 2014 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year. After the Rams repeated as Atlantic 10 champions, Fortier was named to the NCAA Tallahassee All-Regional team. She graduated as the school record holder in home runs, with 46, and slugging percentage, with a mark of .695, as well as second all-time in RBIs with 159. Fortier hit 20 home runs in a season twice, in 2013 and 2014, a single season program record.

Congratulations to the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2023! Each of these individuals' contributions are an integral part of the proud history of Fordham Athletics, and their legacies will be forever remembered and celebrated.
