Bronx, N.Y. – (June 1, 2023) – The Fordham women's soccer team has released its schedule for the 2023 fall season which features 18 regular season contests along with two exhibition contests.
Under second-year head coach
Magnus Nilerud, the regular season schedule is broken down into eight non-conference matches and ten conference matches.
Matches begin on Thursday, August 17
th, as the Rams begin the year on the road at Drexel for a 6:00 PM start.
Fordham then comes home to Jack Coffey Field for the first of five consecutive home matches on August 20
th, when the Rams host Wagner for a 3:00 PM start. The remainder of the five-match homestand includes matches against Stonehill (Aug. 24), Stony Brook (Aug. 31), Fairfield (Sept. 3), and Columbia (Sept. 7).
Non-league action finishes with a road game at Albany on September 10
th and a home contest against Yale on September 25
th.
Action in the Atlantic 10 Conference will begin on September 14
th, when the Rams host George Mason for the first of five home conference matches. Fordham will also host St. Bonaventure (Sept. 21), Davidson (Oct. 1), Saint Joseph's (Oct. 15), and Massachusetts (Oct. 22) at Jack Coffey Field.
Fordham's road league contests start on September 17
th at George Washington. The Rams will travel to Dayton (Sept. 28), Rhode Island (Oct. 8), La Salle (Oct. 12), and VCU (Oct. 19).
On top of the regular season schedule, Fordham will have two preseason exhibitions against Hofstra (home) on August 8
th and Sacred Heart (away) on August 12
th.
The 2023 schedule will lead to the Atlantic 10 Championship with opening round contests, starting on October 28
th with the championship final on November 5
th.
