BRONX, N.Y. – Fordham senior Nicholas Manning has been named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week, it was announced this afternoon by league office.
 
The Bedford, Mass., native carded the best single round of his collegiate career on Tuesday at the Monmouth Hawks Invitational, firing a three-under 68 to finish second in the field.
 
After 18 holes of play, Manning stood three shots clear of third place and six ahead of teammate P.J. O'Rourke in fourth.
 
As a team, Fordham finished in second out of the four squads in contention.
 
The Rams will return to action in just over a week, beginning the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational on April 16 in Easton, Pa.  Fordham will wrap the event hosted by Lafayette at Northampton Country Club the following day.
