BRONX, N.Y. – Fordham Men's Basketball Head Coach
Keith Urgo has announced the signing of Ryan Pettis to a National Letter of Intent for the 2024-25 season.
The 6-foot-4 combo guard comes to the Bronx from East Palo Alto, Calif., where he is a standout at Junipero Serra High School.
"We think we've truly found a diamond in the rough with Ryan Pettis," said Urgo. "He has size, speed and the ability to score at all three levels while excelling on the defensive end. Ryan fits perfectly with what we're building here at Fordham and we can't wait to welcome him to Rose Thrill."
As a junior in 2022-23, Pettis earned First Team All-West Catholic Athletic League honors, as his team came one win shy of a CIF Central Coast Section Open Division championship. In the semifinal against Archbishop Mitty, Pettis netted a game-high 22 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer in the closing seconds.
On the grassroots circuit, Pettis has excelled with Team Lillard.
This past summer, Pettis competed in the USA-UK Showcase, a five-day tour of the United Kingdom with a team of top American U18 players under the direction of former Cal Poly Head Coach Joe Callero.
