The Hula Bowl is the Nation's Premier College Football All-Star Game. The Hula Bowl is an event where all NFL, XFL, USFL and CFL teams will be represented by top scout players during Hula Bowl week.

The Hula Bowl is the first of two All-Star games for DeMorat, who has also been invited to play in the 2023 East-West Shrine Bowl on Thursday, February 2, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. He will learn from the best as two full NFL coaching staffs, the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons, will coach this year's game for the first time in the game's 98-year history.

The East-West Shrine Bowl will be a part of NFL Pro Bowl week, bringing approximately 130 of the nation's top college seniors to be coached by NFL staffs for a week of preparation in front of hundreds of NFL scouts, professional agents and media, all leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft.

The week prior to the Hula Bowl, DeMorat was honored at the 2020 NCAA FCS National Awards Show presented by STATS Perform in Frisco, Texas. He finished second in voting for the 2022 Stats Perform Walter Payton Award, which honors the offensive player of the year in college football's Division I subdivision.
