Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The last time Fordham and Boston College squared off in a football game Dwight Eisenhower was president, gas was 21 cents a gallon, and a movie ticket would set you back 45 cents. A lot has changed since then but unfortunately for the Rams the one thing that didn't change was the winner of the game as Eagles came out on top, defeating Fordham, 66-10, in the season opener at Alumni Stadium.
Grad student linebacker
James Conway led the Rams defensively with his 17 tackles, nine of them solo, while senior defensive back
Alex Kemper added ten stops for the Rams to go with a pass breakup.
How It Happened
After Boston College took a 7-0 lead, Fordham got on the scoreboard with 6:04 left in the first quarter to narrow the margin to 7-3.
The Eagles held a 21-3 at the break but scored 24 unanswered points in the third quarter and a pair of touchdowns early in the fourth before junior quarterback
Gunnar Smith took it in from the one for Fordham's second score.
