Bronx, N.Y. – As we continue to breakdown the 2022 Fordham Rams, we move to the running backs.
 
The Fordham offensive backfield is loaded with talent, led by grad student Trey Sneed, a two-time All-Patriot League selection, who had his 2021 season interrupted by injury. Despite appearing in only three games, Sneed was still Fordham's second leading rusher, gaining 354 yards on 49 touches with four scores. Patriot League coaches realize his potential as they named Sneed to the 2022 Preseason All-Patriot League team.
 
Joining Sneed in the offensive backfield is senior Trey Wilson, who made the most of his playing time last year, leading the Rams in rushing with 595 yards on 103 carries with three touchdowns to earn First Team All-Patriot League accolades. He was fourth in the Patriot League in rushing yards and rushing yards/game (51.5).
 
Other returners with experience include junior Taj Barnes, sophomore Julius Loughridge, and freshmen Chris Shaw, Jack Kaiser, and Mason Hatfield.
 
Barnes appeared in two games as a sophomore, rushing 13 times for 98 yards and one touchdown, while Loughridge, a two-time District Offensive MVP in high school, did not see action as a freshman.
 
Shaw is a product of Damascus High School in Damascus, Maryland, while Kaiser comes to Fordham from Trinity Pawling where he played in 2021. Hatfield arrives on Rose Hill after playing at Dexter Southfield in Brookline, Massachusetts.
