Four Rams Honored with Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Awards

Justin Rhee Selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in the Long Jump, while Erik Brown, Antony Misko, & Brandon Hall Named to Academic All-Conference Team

Newport News, Va. – (April 20, 2022) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its All-Rookie and Academic All-Conference Teams for indoor track & field on Wednesday.  Among the honorees, four Fordham men's track & field made the awards list.

Sophomore Justin Rhee (River Edge, N.J./River Dell) was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in the long jump event, while the trio of junior Erik Brown (Elmont, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial), graduate student Antony Misko (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern), and senior Brandon Hall (Hopedale, Mass./Hopedale) were named to the Academic All-Conference Team.

This marks the second time that Fordham has had three Rams make the Academic All-Conference team, as voted on by the league's sports information directors.  Fordham first performed the feat in 2011 (Nick Dellagatti, Brian Schmidt, Kevin Fitzgerald).

Rhee is the first Ram to make the men's All-Rookie Team since 2018.  Competing in his first year of indoor track & field, he posted the best long jump among first-year competitor at 23' ¾", which came at the Fordham Alumni Meet on January 8th.  At the Atlantic 10 Championship in February, Rhee almost scored in both the long jump and triple jump events, placing ninth (22' 3 ¾") and tenth (42' 11"), respectively.

Brown is a double major in Mathematics & Computer Science and American Studies with a 3.82 GPA.  A two-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, Brown was one of the Rams' most versatile runners, running from the 400-meter distance up to 800-meters.  At the Atlantic 10 Championship, he earned a bronze medal with the 4x800 relay team in an IC4A qualifying time of 7:45.67, while individually, he placed tenth overall in the 500-meter run in 1:07.29.  He later helped the 4x800 relay score fourth at the IC4A Championship with a season-best time of 7:30.23.  Additionally, Brown was a part of the Metropolitan champion 4x800 relay and finished third in the 500 meters (1:05.50).

After earning his undergraduate degree in Accounting Information Systems, Misko posted a 3.94 GPA in Cyber Security in graduate school.  A four-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, he scored sixth in the 500-meter run (1:05.80) at the Atlantic 10 Championship, while helping the 4x400 relay scored seventh (3:30.61).  Additionally, he finished 11th at the IC4A Championship in a season-best time of 1:04.79 and ran a leg of the distance medley relay that placed 12th overall (10:08.29).

Hall earns his second Academic All-Conference nod after earning the accolade in spring 2021 for cross country.  A former CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and three-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, he currently boasts a 3.95 GPA in Finance and had a pair of ninth-place finishes at the Atlantic 10 Championship in the 3,000 meters (8:31.39) and 5,000 meters (14:39.84).  Earlier in the indoor season, Hall was the Metropolitan champion in the 5,000-meter run, while capping his season with a career-best time of 8:14.19 in the 3,000-meter run at the IC4A Championship, which was good for 16th overall.
