Bronx, N.Y. – Ten Fordham University athletic programs recorded a perfect 100 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in the latest data reported by the NCAA. Overall, Fordham student-athletes graduated at a 97 percent clip, tied for tops among all Atlantic 10 schools, a one-point improvement from last year and the highest graduation rate ever for Fordham student-athletes.

Recording perfect scores for the Rams were baseball, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving, softball, women's tennis, men's track and field/cross country, rowing, and water polo.

This year was the fourth consecutive year that ten Fordham teams achieved a perfect 100 percent graduation success rate. Women's tennis has reached the mark all 18 years the score has been calculated while men's swimming and diving and men's track/cross country have achieved it for nine straight years. Men's soccer (8), women's swimming and diving (7), baseball (4), water polo (4), women's soccer (2), and softball (2) also have consecutive years with a perfect GSR score.

"Once again our student-athletes have eclipsed themselves in the classroom," said director of athletics Ed Kull. "They continue to be the standard on our Rose Hill campus and in our conference. Their success is a testament to the mission of Fordham Athletics as we develop and prepare our student-athletes not only for their time at Fordham, but for life."

The Rams tied with Davidson, La Salle, and St. Bonaventure for the best rate in the A-10 schools. Davidson had the most teams in A-10 sponsored sports with a perfect score with 15, followed by Fordham, La Salle and St. Bonaventure with nine perfect programs each (the A-10 does not sponsor water polo).

The GSR measures graduation over six years from first-time college enrollment. The NCAA Division I Board of Directors created the GSR in response to Division I college and university presidents who wanted data that more accurately reflected the mobility of college students than the federal graduation rate.
