Bronx, N.Y. – The awards keep coming in for the Fordham Football program as grad student linebacker
Ryan Greenhagen was named the 2022 Patriot League Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He was joined on the Academic All-Patriot League Team by sophomore linebacker
James Conway.

Greenhagen, who is working on a master's degree in Business analytics and has a 3.96 GPA, became the one of the first two Patriot League football student-athletes to receive Academic All-Patriot League honors for the fourth time. He is also a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, presented annually to college football's premier scholar-athlete.

Bucknell, Colgate and Holy Cross received three All-Academic team honorees apiece, while Fordham and Georgetown each placed two student-athletes on the team. Lafayette and Lehigh had one honoree apiece.

The Patriot League Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Academic All-Patriot League Teams honors student-athletes who excel on and off the field. The Patriot League football sports information directors nominated and voted on the awards. To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in their sport. Freshmen or student-athletes in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.

• Second on team with 103 total tackles, a team-high 57 solo.
• Has 7.0 TFLs along with 4.5 sacks.
• Third in Patriot League and 24th in the NCA AFCS, in tackles/game (9.4).
• 2022 Campbell Trophy finalist.
• Named to the Buck Buchanan watch list (top FCS def. player) and the Reese's Senior Bowl watch List.
• A four-time All-Patriot League selection and 2020-21 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year.
• A four-time Academic All-Patriot League selection.
• A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American®.
• Set school career records for total tackles (415), solo tackles (241) and career tackles for loss (48.0).

• 2022 First Team All-Patriot League.
• Leads team with 114 total tackles, 54 solo.
• Team-high 9.5 TFLs along with 3.0 sacks.
• Also has three pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
• Leads Patriot League and seventh in the NCA AFCS, in tackles/game (10.4).
• Named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week three times in 2022.
• Has recorded more than 100 total tackles in each of his first two seasons.
