Devon Miller has been named the Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon. Miller becomes just the second Ram to earn a national award after becoming the second Ram to hurl multiple career perfect games, doing so on back-to-back days against La Salle this past weekend.

Miller was just named the Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week a couple hours earlier and now adds the national accolade to her resume. Jen Mineau was named the NFCA Player of the Week three times, once each year between 2009-11, before the NFCA created Pitcher of the Week in 2015.

The Chadds Ford, Pa. native posted identical lines in both contests, striking out 12 of 15 Explorers over five innings each. She struck out the first seven straight batters in game one and eight total the first time through the order, before striking out seven straight in game two starting with the third out of the first inning through the third.

Miller has now enjoyed four straight double-digit strikeout efforts and has struck out a whopping 73 over 41.1 frames this season, lowering her ERA in the process to 1.69. She has risen to fifth in the country with 12.4 strikeouts per seven innings and ninth with just 3.05 hits allowed per seven. She I also 51
st with a 5.21 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

The Rams return to action on Thursday at Stony Brook at 3 p.m. before hosting St. Bonaventure this weekend for a three-game series.
