New York, N.Y. – Fordham women's basketball standouts
Anna DeWolfe and
Kendell Heremaia can add one more accolade for their 2020-21 campaigns as the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) selected DeWolfe to the All-Met Division I First Team and Heremaia to the Second Team. It is the first MBWA year-end honor for both.
Â
"It's nice to see when hard work and success is rewarded." Head coach
Stephanie Gaitley said, "Anna had an incredible sophomore year being named Co-Player of the Year in the A-10 and Kene being named to the Second Team. Now to be named to the All-Met teams is the cherry on top!"
Â
DeWolfe was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Year, in addition to First Team All-Conference and All-Academic, after leading the league in scoring with 20.8 points per game. She also became the program's third-ever student-athlete named WBCA All-America Honorable Mention. The sophomore guard scored in double figures in all but one contest and enjoyed 11 of 18 contests with at least 20 points. Among her compatriots nationally, DeWolfe ranked 22
nd in scoring and 25

Â
