Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University freshman Nicholas Kanazirev was named Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 28 it was announced by the league office today.
 
In Fordham's lone match of the week, a 6-1 win over Lafayette on Sunday, Kanazirev won at both singles and doubles. He defeated Lafayette's John Yurconic at second singles, 6-2, 6-2, to clinch the match for Fordham.
 
Earlier in the day he teamed with Fabian Mauritzson for a 7-6 (4) victory at the second doubles over Ross Coleman and Josh Wolfe that clinched the doubles point for the Rams.
