Head coach
Stephanie Gaitley: "It is exciting to look back on this decade and sell at the great accomplishments. The team success was a result of having great individual talent that were driven to bringing Fordham Women's Basketball to new heights. These young ladies were obviously significant contributors and highlight the record books. I also thank those not mentioned. It takes everyone know their role in order to have team success. They all bought into the culture and all left their mark on the program. I am so very proud and thankful for ALL of our student-athletes!"
The 2010s brought unprecedented success for the Fordham women's basketball program, including two Atlantic 10 Championships, one regular season title, and seven total postseason berths, plus numerous individual and team accolades. Coach Gaitley arrived in the Bronx in 2011 and completely revitalized the program and turned around its fortunes by year two, winning 26 games and falling by just one point in the Atlantic 10 title game and carrying that momentum forward in the ensuing years.
The Rams have enjoyed a 202-112 overall record under Gaitley, a tidy 100-50 Atlantic 10 record, and a 20-16 postseason record. The program has seen two Players of the Year, one Defensive Player of the Year, and 16 All-Conference selections, including eight on the First Team. The Rams have also had seven All-Academic honorees and four apiece for the All-Defense and All-Rookie squads. At the heart of the program's success is a year-in, year-out national top-50 defense, with eight of 10 years featuring in the top-30 and six in the top-20.
