Fordham Women's Basketball 2000's All-Decade Team
Mobolaji Akiode ('03) – The 2003 Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player, Akiode had averaged between nine and 10 points her sophomore and junior seasons before exploding for nearly 500 points – 16.5 per game – during her senior campaign; Only seven Rams have ever averaged more points in a single season. She was named to that year's All-Conference Second Team. Akiode ranks within the top-20 of virtually every statistical category at Fordham, a perfect example of her do-it-all abilities. She appeared in 112 contests, making 85 starts, and finished her career with 1,167 points, ranked 13
th all-time.
Lisa Carrol ('07) – A transfer that arrived in the Bronx for her junior season, Carrol made an immediate impact for the Rams, averaging 15.0 points over 28 appearances, 27 starts, and dishing out 81 assists, garnering Second Team All-Conference honors. Though she wasn't named All-Conference as a senior, she did earn All-Academic accolades while setting some Fordham records. Her finest game came early that second season against Yale where Carrol finished one point shy of the single-game record, scoring 39 points with a record-setting 17 made free throws. Later in the year, she converted 16-of-18 attempts at Duquesne, which ranks second overall and tops in conference play and on the road in program history. She is also the only Ram to shoot perfectly from distance with at least five attempts in league play, shooting 5-of-5 against St. Bonaventure as a junior. Missing just three games over her two seasons, starting all but one of those 53, Carrol's 15.7 per-game average ranks fifth all-time in program history.
Beth Ann Dickinson ('04) – Another junior transfer, Dickinson arrived in the Bronx as a threat from behind the three-point arc and at the free throw line. Her career 87.3% rate from the charity stripe (96-of-110) remains the Fordham career record, while her 89.2% mark as a senior is second all-time in a single season. Both years, Dickinson led the Rams in three-point shooting and free-throw shooting, averaging 10.7 and 12.8 points per game, respectively, over her two years, garnering All-Academic honors as a senior in 2004. Dickinson appeared in all 58 games those two years, making 54 starts.
Jada Jefferson ('06) – A tenacious interior presence for the Rams, Jefferson was a four-year member of the Rams who blossomed as a junior and a senior. A part-time player her first two seasons, she made 49 starts in 59 appearances those two seasons, averaging 11.2 points and 6.8 rebounds as a junior and 12.3 points and 8.6 rebounds as a senior, with a combined 87 blocks and 60 steals. The owner of the fifth-most double-doubles in program history, 13, Jefferson was a Second Team All-Conference selection as a senior. All told, she made 55 starts over 106 appearances and finished her career with 803 points, 545 rebounds, and 105 blocks.
Monica Mack ('05) – One year after her former teammate Moblaji Akiode was named the conference's Most Improved Player, Mack did the same as a junior after seeing her scoring averaging leap from 5.2 to 13.6 points per game. It wasn't the playing time, as she played over 1,000 minutes in both campaigns while starting all but one contest, it was her shift to offensive focal point. As a sophomore, Mack dished out a team-high 119 dimes. She still handed out 92 but she more than doubled her field goal attempts without her field goal percentage suffering, she shot nearly 40.0% from the field on 329 attempts, also hitting 38.1% from behind the arc and 75.6% from the line over 28 starts as a junior. She didn't garner All-Conference honors until a year later, however, when she was named to the Third Team after averaging 11.7 points as a senior, once again starting every contest. For her career, Mack made 103 starts over 117 appearances, falling just six points shy of 1,000. She is fifth all-time with 182 steals and eighth with 358 assists across the seventh-most minutes, 3,729.
Honorable Mention
Kristina Bell ('11) – Though she played a season and a half in the next decade, Bell was a major part of those late 00's teams. A model of consistency and a swiss army knife weapon for head coach
Cathy Andruzzi, Bell made 106 starts over 118 appearances, ranked joint-10
th and joint-seventh all-time, respectively, and played the ninth-most minutes in program history, 3,586. Bell also has the eighth-highest career free-throw rate, at 81.8%. Bell averaged 5.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals during her time in the Bronx, displaying her all-around game.
Stacey Price ('06) – Price was another strong interior presence for the Rams in the early aughts. She finished her five-year stint with the Rams (she was injured during her senior season) with 604 points, 574 rebounds, and 101 blocks (ninth-most all-time) over 110 contests, making 71 starts and shooting over 50.0% from the field during her tenure in the Bronx.
Kyshawn Ruff ('05) – Continuing that trend of low-post power, especially during the years with Jefferson, Price, and Ruff, the latter was not much of a scorer but was an intimidator on the block. Ruff finished with 715 rebounds, tied for seventh-most, and 124 blocks, sixth-most, to go with 465 points over 103 games, including 63 starts. Ruff's 1.2 per-game block rate is tied for fourth-highest, as well.
Annie Zopf ('09) – A starter for nearly all of her four years with the Rams, Zopf totaled 92 starts over 112 appearances, finishing her career with 819 points, 7.3 per game, with the 12
th-most minutes played in program history, 3,324. She also had 218 assists and 73 steals and averaged 10.6 points per game as a junior in 2007-08.
