We continue the series today as Ed chats with Fordham women's basketball Hall of Famer Anne Gregory O'Connell '80, who was the first woman inducted into the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame in 1986.
Anne graduated with various records including her 2,548 total career points and 1,999 career rebounds. She was a Wade Trophy nominee in both 1979 and 1980 and earned honorable mention in the All-American honors in her final season.
A cum laude graduate, Anne played professional basketball in Europe briefly before returning to New York. During the 1985-86 season, she served as an assistant women's basketball coach at her alma mater.
