Bronx, N.Y. - Today we continue to introduce the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame, Class of 2021, recognizing the former student-athletes and coaches who will be honored, as we move out to Jack Coffey Field to recognize one of men's soccer all-time greats,
Ryan Meara. He joins water polo's
Ali Arat, former head rowing coach Ted Bonanno, women's basketball's Abigail Corning, softball's Jocelyn Dearborn, and men's basketball's Jay Fazande in the class of 2021. They will be among the 13 inductees who will be announced over the next two weeks.

Meara will join the likes of Frankie Frisch, Vince Lombardi, Wellington Mara, Charlie Yelverton, Anne Gregory O'Connell, and Vin Scully in the Fordham Athletics Hall of Fame. The new class is scheduled to be inducted on 2021 Homecoming weekend on Thursday, October 7, on the Rose Hill campus. Specifics will be released when available.

As part of the ceremony, Fordham will also present the Victory Bell Award as well as honor all current Fordham Athletic Hall of Famers. The Victory Bell will be presented to an individual or individuals who have brought distinction and honor to Fordham University Athletics through achievements not related to competition, coaching and/or administration. The honoree(s) will be selected by the Hall of Fame Committee and will embody a sense of leadership and passion for Fordham Athletics and serve as inspiration to the Fordham Athletics Family.

Ryan Meara, Men's Soccer
- A four-time NSCAA All-Region selection, earning First Team honors his last three seasons
- Named 2011 Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year
- Earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors three straight years
- 2012 Vincent T. Lombardi Award winner
- Posted career-best numbers with an 11-6-1 record, a 0.65 goals against average, and an .862 save percentage as a senior in 2012
- Also added ten shutouts, second best single season in school history, as a senior
- His 0.65 goals against average as a senior is a Fordham single season record
- Played all but eight minutes as a junior in 2010
- Posted a 10-8-0 record as a junior, a 0.81 goals against average, and an .808 save percentage
- His 0.81 goals against average was third best single season all-time in school history
- His career goal against average of 0.87 is the best in school history
- Set school career record with 31 shutouts
- Drafted by the NY Red Bulls in 2012 currently on the team's roster
