Boston, Mass. – (November 12, 2021) – The Fordham cross country team took part in the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday morning at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Fordham women were off first, placing 28
th in the team scoring out of 36 teams with 860 points.
Senior
Bridget Alex was the top finisher for the Rams, placing 143
rd overall, as she ran 23:07 over the 6K course.
Taylor Mascetta was the next to cross the line at 23:37, good for 168
th overall, followed by
Germaine Harbaugh in 175
th at 23:50.
The remaining Rams competing were Madeline Ryan (201
st – 24:16),
Maddy Kopec (203
rd – 24:18), and
Caroline McDonagh (229
th – 25:10).
The Fordham men then finished 26
th out of 35 teams with a team score of 697 points.
Senior
Brandon Hall finished in the top 100 runners, placing 96
th overall at the 10K course in 32:40.
Steven Zucca was 111
th in a time of 33:00, while
Ryan Fahey was 124
th in 33:22.
Rodolfo Sanchez was the next across the line in 173
rd (34:21) with
Justin Lombardi being the last finisher in 210
th (35:47).
The Rams will now get ready for their final meet of the season on November 20
th, as they host the ECAC/IC4A Championship at Van Cortlandt Park.
