James Conway were named GEICO Patriot League Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, when the League office announced honors on Monday.

In a 56-7 win Homecoming over Wagner 42-41 on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, DeMorat, the Patriot League preseason offensive player of the year, completed 19 of 23 passes for 339 yards and four touchdowns in just 30 minutes (he did not play in the second half). It was his third 300-yard passing game of the year and his second four-touchdown contest.

On the year, DeMorat, who earned weekly honors for the third time this fall, completed 121 of 211 passes for 1,649 yards and 15 touchdowns. He leads the Patriot League, and is eighth in the NCAA FCS, in touchdown passes and leads the League and is 17th in the NCAA in passing yards/game.

Conway, who receives his third Patriot League rookie honor this year, recorded a game-high 12 tackles in the Wagner game, four solo, including two for loss and he forced a fumble. It was his fourth straight double-digit tackle game in 2021.

On the year, Conway has 65 total tackles, 31 solo, second most for the Rams. He is fourth in the Patriot League in tackles/game (10.8) and sixth in solo tackles/game (5.2).

The Rams return to action on Saturday, October 16, as they host Bucknell University for a Patriot League game on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
