Bronx, N.Y. - Â The Fordham University Rams continue their 2021 season, Fordham's 121st varsity season, and open their Patriot League schedule by traveling to Easton, Pa., to face the Lafayette College Leopards in Fisher Stadium on Saturday, October 2, at 3:30 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Gary Laubach (p-b-p), John Leone (color), and Mike Joseph (sidelines) announcing and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuvsports.org with Nick DeLuca (p-b-p) and Andrew Gullotta (color) handling the announcing chores.

Fordham enters the game with a 1-3 record and is coming off a 31-14 win at Stony Brook last week while Lafayette, who enters its Patriot League season, is 1-3 on the year following a 24-14 win over Penn in Fisher Stadium last Saturday.

This will be the 39th meeting between Fordham and Lafayette on the gridiron. The Leopards lead the all-time series, which started in 1903, 25-12-1, and have taken the last three meetings, including a 38-34 win on Jack Coffey Field in 2019 as Lafayette scored on a ten-yard run with 1:48 remaining to take the lead for good. The Lafayette wins snapped a three-game Fordham winning streak in the series.

Tim DeMorat was named Patriot League GEICO Offensive Player of the Week when the League office announced honors on Monday.

Tim DeMorat brought his career total to 46, good for fourth on the Fordham career list.

• No New York area college football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 59 victories over that stretch. The closest collegiate competitors are Stony Brook (54), Sacred Heart (54) and Rutgers (41), while the NFL's Giants lead the NYC area professional teams with 57 wins over the past ten years and the Jets have 50.
