Softball Drops Opening Games at Florida Gulf Coast Classic

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Fort Myers, Fla. — The Fordham softball team began the Florida Gulf Coast Classic with a pair of defeats on Friday, first 4-1 to Southern Illinois and then 3-1 to the hosts in the evening. With the results, the Rams fall to 1-11 overall.

Fordham took the lead first in both contests, first on a wild pitch in game one and then on a throwing error in game two.

The Rams are back in action on Saturday against Harvard and UMass Lowell, with the firmer beginning at 9 a.m.
