Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham women's basketball program can today announce its full 2020-21 schedule with the unveiling of the Atlantic 10's conference slate today. The Rams will play six nonconference games and 18 league contests between next week and late February. The 2021 A-10 Championship will be hosted by VCU on March 3-7. All home games and conference contests, both home and away, that aren't on national television will be found on ESPN+.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Fordham unfortunately cannot allow fans to attend home contests this year. However, return to FordhamSports.com tomorrow for an announcement on plans for tons of virtual gameday experiences and prizes!
The new campaign will finally kick off next Wednesday afternoon at Stony Brook with a 2 p.m. start time. Fordham's home opener will coincide with the 51
st Battle of the Bronx against local rival Manhattan the following Wednesday, December 2. The Rams will continue alternating home and away contests, first on the road at Quinnipiac on Saturday, December 5
th, before returning home to face former associate head coach Angelika Szumilo's Fairleigh Dickinson on Tuesday, December 8
th. Fordham will complete nonconference play at Seton Hall on Sunday, December 13
th, and home against Hofstra on Friday, December 18
th.
Just three days later, on Monday, December 21
st, Fordham will begin Atlantic 10 action on the road at Davidson before returning to host the Georges (Mason and Washington) on Friday, January 1
st, and Sunday, January 3
rd. The Rams will then embark on a four-game road swing over the following two weekends – at Rhode Island and Massachusetts on January 8
th and 10
th, respectively, and at Saint Louis and Dayton on Thursday, January 14
th and Saturday, January 16
th, respectively.
Fordham will return home to host three contests beginning with St. Bonaventure on Friday, January 22
nd and Duquesne on Sunday, January 24
th. Davidson the following Sunday, January 31
st, precedes a trip to Richmond and VCU the following weekend, February 5
th and 7
th, respectively. The Rams will close out the season with four home games out of six total, starting with Saint Joseph's on Friday, February 12
th, and La Salle on Sunday, February 14
th. After a trip to George Mason and George Washington the weekend of February 18-20, the Rams will host Dayton and Saint Louis on the final weekend, playing on February 26
th and 28
th, respectively, at Rose Hill Gym.

The Rams are coming off a fourth straight 20-win season, seventh total under head coach
Stephanie Gaitley, and would have made a fifth WNIT appearance in the last decade had the COVID-19 pandemic shut down college athletics nationally. The
Bre Cavanaugh era ended at Fordham with the redshirt junior garnering WBCA All-American honorable mention and Atlantic 10 Player of the Year honors, just the second and first time, respectively, the program has earned each award. However, Fordham returns 12 players, including four starters, and has added a five-player freshman class.
Fordham was picked to finish fourth in the annual preseason coaches' poll, with senior
Kendell Heremaia garnering Second Team All-Conference honors and sophomore captain
Anna DeWolfe being named to the Third Team.
