WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Taking home Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) for the second year in a row, Fordham University women's basketball saw Taylor Donaldson receive a spot on the All-MET third team roster following her second season in Maroon and White.
Pacing the Rams in scoring in 16 of her 25 games played this season, Donaldson averaged 16.3 points per game on the year, fourth best in the A-10. In her second year in Maroon and White, following three years at New Mexico State, Donaldson took home league honors for the second straight year, named a third team All-Conference nod last month.
Lighting it up from beyond the arc, the Newbury Park, Calif. native averaged 2.63 made three pointers per game to lead the league and sit 24th best of any Division I player in the nation entering the postseason. Defensively Donaldson also nabbed 49 steals on the year, with her 2.09 steals per game placing her third best of any player in the A-10.
With her extra efforts in the passing lanes, Donaldson contributed to the Rams' 9.0 steals per game as a team, fifth best in the league and 92nd best in the nation. Her 4.3 rebounds per game as well have helped Fordham place 15th in the country in offensive rebounds per game, which also leads all A-10 teams.
In just two seasons at Fordham, Donaldson scored 891 points at a 17.1 per game clip, and also collected 116 steals over 52 games for the Rams, starting in all but three.
