Bronx, N.Y. – Eleven Fordham University athletic programs recorded a perfect 100 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in the latest data reported by the NCAA on Tuesday. Overall, Fordham student-athletes graduated at a 96 percent clip, tied for second among all Atlantic 10 schools.
 
Recording perfect scores for the Rams were baseball, men's basketball, men's soccer, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's track and field/cross country, women's track and field/cross country, volleyball, and water polo.
 
"The academic achievement of our student-athletes is a tribute to the emphasis they place on their education, just as much as their athletic abilities," said Fordham interim director of athletics Ed Kull. "All of the many faculty, staff, coaches and academic advisors who support our Rams share in this success."

La Salle led all A-10 schools with a total overall four-year GSR of 97 percent. Davidson, Fordham, and Saint Joseph's tied for second in the league with a 96 percent GSR, followed by Dayton and George Washington at 95 percent. The national average GSR is 89 percent.
 
Davidson led the conference with 14 teams with a perfect 100 GSR, while La Salle had eleven, and  Richmond and Fordham had ten (the A-10 does not sponsor water polo).  
 
The GSR measures graduation over six years from first-time college enrollment. The NCAA Division I Board of Directors created the GSR in response to Division I college and university presidents who wanted data that more accurately reflected the mobility of college students than the federal graduation rate.
