Simsbury, Conn. – The Fordham golf team moved up a spot on the leaderboard in round two Sunday to finish the Ryan Lee Memorial in 10
th out of 17 schools. Newcomers Chan Park and Nicholas Manning improved upon their round one scores to lead the Rams on the day. Harvard was the lone school in the red, finishing at -7 overall, with Adam Xiao leading the weekend end-to-end and finishing five-under.
Park and Manning, who had finished Saturday at +7 and +4, respectively, carded one- and two-over par during their Sunday rounds. Each enjoyed a trio of birdies. Park nearly broke even but bogeyed the final hole, while Manning went back-to-back with birdies on the final two holes to card a 74.
Edoardo Tamburi and
Anthony Wells backed up from their round one scores, carding a 77 and 79, respectively, after finishing Saturday each at two-over. Both golfers had two birdies on the day. Charles Smollen improved on his day one score, as well, carding an eight-over 80 with a pair of birdies.
Manning placed highest among his teammates, finishing in a tie for 32
nd at six-over 150. Tamburi finished just behind at seven-over and T36, followed by Park at eight-over and T41.
As a whole, the Rams were 30-over par with identical 303 scores each day. They will next compete at the Hartford Hawks Invite next Monday and Tuesday.
