Simsbury, Conn. – The Fordham golf team began its Fall campaign with day one of the Ryan Lee Memorial, finishing Saturday in 11
th out of 17 schools at +15. Four Rams made their collegiate debuts on the day. Harvard finished the day atop the leaderboard, the lone school to finish the day in the red, at -7. The Crimson hold five of the top six spots with Adam Xiao in the lead by three strokes at -4.
Both
Anthony Wells and Edoardo Tamburi finished the day two strokes over par, the former leading the team with four birdies on the day and the latter going bogey-free on the back nine with three birdies. The duo enter Sunday in a five-way tie for 28
th. Nicholas Manning finished at +4 (76) with a pair of birdies, while Chan Park carded a 79 (+7). Charles Smollen, playing as an individual, carded a +14 with one birdie. All buy Wells were making their debuts.
Day Two at Hop Meadow Country Club begins Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. with all five Rams teeing off between 9 and 10.
