South Kent, Conn. – The Fordham men's golf team kicked off the Hartford Hawk Invitational at Bull's Bridge Golf Club on Monday, playing 36 holes on the day, carding a combined 302 and 309 for a score of 611 after two rounds, good for 13
th place out of 16 teams. Hartford led as a team and at the individual level after round one but fell back to fifth, allowing Central Florida to climb to the top with a sore of 564. A tie at the top at 7-under between Rider's Jake Sollon and Seton Hall's Wenliang Xie leads the individuals.
Freshman Chan Park led the way for Fordham with a combined 7-over 151 in tie for 54
th. Park carded a season-low even-par 72 in round one, sitting T16, but fell back with a 79 in round two.
Dean Cerimido, making his season debut, went 77-76 for a score of 9-over 153 and in tie for 61
st.
Nicholas Manning carded back-to-back 78's to sit T75.
Anthony Wells improved upon an 80 in round one with a 76 in round two to join Manning at T75. Making his collegiate debut,
Dante Lancellotti also improved upon his round one score, carding 80-78 to sit T86 alongside Eduardo Tamburi, who shot a 75 in round one but backed up with an 83 in round two.
Round three kicks off at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning in South Kent.
