Bronx, N.Y. - (August 10, 2019) - The first action of the 2019-20 Fordham Athletics season couldn't have seen a better day, as a perfect summer evening ended with the Fordham women's soccer team posting a 1-0 exhibition win over the Fairfield Stags at Jack Coffey Field.

The lone goal of the game came in the 21st minute, as a through ball found Fordham's Amanda Miller, who tucked it into the right side of the net for a 1-0 lead.

That goal was the only marker of the game, as the Rams outshot the Stags, 11-6.  In net, Maggie Grossman and Kelly LaMorte split time for the Rams, combining for the team shutout.
