Atlantic 10 Release

BRONX, N.Y. - Fordham University sophomore rower Aleksa Bjornson was one of ten women's rowers to be named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team for 2019 it was announced today. The team was selected by a vote of the league's rowing media relations directors.
 
A Marketing major from Tiverton, R.I., Bjornson was a member of the Fordham varsity 8 which placed third at the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championships, the first medal for Fordham in the V8 since 2007, as Fordham finished tied for third at the championship. She was named first team All-Atlantic 10 following the championship.
 
Prior to the Atlantic 10 Championship, Bjornson led the Varsity 8 to a second place finish in the Final 2 race at the 2019 Dad Vail Championships.
