Cherry Hill, N.J. - The Fordham women's rowing squad traveled down to Cherry Hill, N.J., on Saturday where they competed in the Cherry Hill Invitational on the Cooper River.

The Rams entered boats in four events, the varsity 8, second varsity y8, third varsity 8 and varsity 4.

The Fordham varsity 8 placed fourth in its heat, behind Rhode Island, MIT, and George Washington, but ahead of Saint Joseph's to advance to the petite final where the Rams placed sixth.

The second varsity 8 took fifth in its heat, behind Connecticut, Bucknell, Saint Joseph's, and Georgetown but in front of Delaware. In the third final, the Rams pulled away for the win, crossing the line in front of MIT, Holy Cross, and Delaware.

The third varsity 8 was fifth in its first race, trailing George Washington, Connecticut, Delaware, and Bucknell, but advanced to the petite final that it won in front of Marist.

The Fordham varsity 4 was third in its heat behind George Washington and Connecticut and then placed fourth in the petite final trailing Connecticut, Lehigh, and Delaware, but edging Marist and Old Dominion.

The Rams return to action on Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, as they travel to Philadelphia to compete in the Dad Vail Championships on the Schuylkill River.
