New Haven, Conn. – The Fordham golf team competed at the Yale Spring Invitational on Saturday, a one-day, 36-hole event held at The Course at Yale. The Rams finished the day 12
th out of 12 teams with a combined score of 758. Yale took home team honors with a score of 711, 11-over par, while Siena's Jack Brown paced the 72-golfer field with a score of 6-under 134.
Tomas Nieves led the way for the Rams with a score of 7-under 147, moving up the leaderboard with a season-low 2-over 72 in round two into a tie for 31
st.
Josh Madarang and
Billy Harrison finished in a tie for 44
th with scores of 150. Madarang carded rounds of 74-76, while Harrison fired dual rounds of 75, a new career-low for the latter.
Anthony Wells finished in a tie for 61
st with two rounds of 77 for a combined 154, followed by
Thomas Hayes in solo 68
th at 157 and
Dean Cerimido in a tie for 69
th with a score of 162.
The Rams are right back in action this Monday and Tuesday at the Rhode Island Invitational at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingston.
