West Orange, N.J. – Due to inclement weather on Sunday, the 2019 Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship was shortened to a one-round, 18-hole event that took place on Monday at Montclair Golf Club. The Fordham golf team placed 15
th out of 16 schools, carding a combined 320 on the day. Fairleigh Dickinson took home team honors by one stroke, 288 to 287, over Loyola, while Manhattan's Preston Shortell defeated FDU's Melan Dhaubhadel in a playoff.
Edoardo Tamburi led the way for the Rams with a 76, followed by
Dean Cerimido's 78, to finish T37 and T52, respectively.
P.J. O'Rourke carded an even 80, while
Nicholas Manning shot an 86 and
Dante Lancellotti finished with an 88.
Ryan Davis, competing as an individual, shot an 82. Tamburi's finish was one off his previous best – a T36 at the season-opening Ryan Lee Memorial Invite.
The Rams' Fall season is now complete. The squad's Spring schedule will begin in late March.
