Williams has set three school records this year already and is closing in on her fourth. She has also received her second and third career Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week awards. Her first record came when she initially
broke the four-set mark for digs with 33 at Georgia State during opening weekend but a month ago her 42 digs in four frames at Dartmouth were the most ever in program history, in any match. The team also combined for 103 digs, a new four-set record, as well. The Los Angeles native is now closing in on the career digs record, as well, and is just 36 behind Stephanie Frost's ('07) benchmark of 1,655. Williams has 1,629. Williams already holds the record for digs per set for a career, with 4.26, .8 ahead of Frost, while her current 5.91 digs per set mark this year is shattering her previously set record from last year of 4.28.
Â
Though she didn't pick up any hardware for it, Williams added yet another record to her resume when she notched 39 digs at Rhode Island, breaking Maria Rodenberg's record of 38 for five-set matches, which also used to be the overall record. Williams has five matches of 30 or more digs this year already.
