Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham volleyball team (7-8, 0-3) enters its final weekend on the road before returning home for four consecutive weekends, traveling to Davidson (6-10, 1-2) on Friday night at 7 p.m. and VCU (12-5, 3-0) on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. Â

Last Time Out
The Rams fought hard, winning sets three and four, to force a final set at Saint Louis on Friday night but ultimately fell to the Billikens, before losing at Dayton on Sunday. In the first match, the defense recorded its sixth double-digit block performance of the year and third straight, with
Elise Benjamin leading the way with a season-high seven, plus a season-high 11 kills. Five others had at least two.
Morgan Williams racked up 34 digs, her fifth 30-dig effort thus far, while
McKenna Lahr contributed across the board with 12 kills, 17 digs, two blocks, and two assists.
Aria De La Rosa also chipped in 10 kills for a third straight contest. Fordham struggled on Sunday, hitting a season-low .069 with 18 errors on 102 attacks. Lahr led the way with eight kills, 12 digs, three blocks, an ace, and an assist, while Benjamin, with four blocks, and Williams, with 18 digs, led the defense.

Series Histories
Davidson – The Wildcats hold a 5-2 series advantage since joining the Atlantic 10 in 2014. Fordham took the first meeting in four sets in the Bronx and won in five at home two years ago. In that match,
Olivia Fairchild racked up 21 kills and 10 digs,
Elise Benjamin had nine kills, and Lahr and Williams combined for 23 digs. In their lone match last year, Davidson won in four sets at the Rose Hill Gym. Â

VCU – The (other) Rams led the all-time series, 7-3, since 1997. That year, the Rams won in four sets in their only battle outside of their shared time in the Atlantic 10. VCU is currently on a five-match win streak with Fordham's most recent win coming at home in straight sets in 2015. Fordham hasn't picked up a set against VCU since that year. Â

Williams, Rams Among Nation's Digs Leaders

Morgan Williams has racked up 377 digs already this season through 15 matches, good for an average of 6.08 per set. The former stat ranks fifth in all of Division I, while the latter has moved up to third. The team, as a whole, has averaged 18.69 digs per set, which ranks fourth in the country, while their 1,159 total digs sits 12
th. The Rams are also 18
th in attacks per set (37.65) and 33
rd, and first in the conference, with a combined .166 opponent hit percentage. Defensively, the Rams are 88
th with 135.5 total blocks and, with 2.19 per set, are 100
th.

Williams Smashing Records
Williams has now earned her second and third career pieces of Atlantic 10 hardware with two record-setting performances this season. She initially
broke the four-set mark for digs with 33 at Georgia State during opening weekend but three weeks ago her 42 digs in four frames at Dartmouth were the most ever in program history, in any match. The team also combined for 103 digs, a new four-set record, as well. Williams was named Defensive Player of the Week
a second time recently.

Though she didn't pick up any hardware for it, Williams added yet another record to her resume when she notched 39 digs at Rhode Island, breaking Maria Rodenberg's record of 38 for five-set matches, which also used to be the overall record.

Williams surpassed Tasha Johnston ('06) in career digs with her 1,474
th three weeks ago and is now second all-time at Fordham with 1,598. Stephanie Frost ('07) holds the record with 1,655.

Pejouan Matches Blocks Record
At LIU, freshman
Chloe Pejouan made the start and tallied 13 blocks, tying Marija Markovic's single-match record in four sets against Manhattan in 2006. She also surpassed Randi Ewing's five-set record of 12 from 2012.

Fairchild Approaching 1,000 Kills
The redshirt junior entered this season with 827 career kills after sitting out last year due to injury. This year, Fairchild has 148 kills and is now up to 975 for her career, and will be the 11
th Ram to reach the milestone. Fairchild is already the program's leader with 3.61 kills per set and is 10th with a .237 hit percentage. She is also seventh all-time with 125 career aces, 19 away from joining the top-five.
