New Haven, Conn. – The Fordham University golf team concluded play Sunday at the Macdonald Cup hosted by Yale at The Course at Yale, where the Rams finished 14
th in the team standings.
Senior
Josh Madarang was the top finisher for the Rams, firing a 78 in round three for a total of 223, good for a tie for 45
th place. Also competing for the Rams,
Anthony Wells fired a team-best 75 in the final round for a three-round total of 226, placing him in a tie for 51
st,
Mithran Denbow closed with an 82 for a total of 231, tying him for 66
th place,
Thomas Hayes shot a final round 80 for a three-round total of 232, tying him for 68
th place and
Aidan Denning closed with an 83 for a total score of 245 to finish in 77
th place.
Illinois won the team championship with a total score of 825 followed by Yale (832), Princeton (847), Stirling (848), Boston College (861), Penn (868), Harvard (869), Brown (870), Bucknell (875), Colgate (888), Yale (888), Fairfield (900), Sacred Heart (905) and Fordham (912).
The Rams return to action October 19 at the Lehigh Invitational, hosted by Lehigh at Saucon Valley Country Club.
